The region of Venice offers many of the best wines in Italy and if you are staying in Venice for only a few days and do not have time to visit the vineyards directly, we are offering you the wonderful opportunity to sample 5 of the most important wines in the Veneto region, accompanied by 5 different types of Venetian Cicchetti, (Tapas) , all served in an environment internationally renowned for its wine, food and art, which is conveniently close to Saint Mark’s Square. This is also a wonderful opportunity to meet up with other people and get to

Wine tour along the Prosecco Hills

A Must do Wine Tour!!

Includes: Guided visit and wine tastings in two of the most important vineyards in the area, free time and optional lunch in Asolo. Heading inland mid way between Venice and the Alps,
you will see the beautiful rolling hills of Conegliano – Valdobbiadene.

Here you will discover a very important while sparkling wine called “Prosecco” Italy’s most popular “vino frizzante”. Passing enchanting churches we follow the panoramic “Wine road of Prosecco”, surrounded by endless vineyards, you will visit one of the most important Cantinas (Vineyards) of the area, following a guided visit of the Cantina, you then get to taste your first glass of Prosecco wine. From here you will make your way to the enchanting town of Asolo, the “Pearl of the Veneto” and you will have free time to walk around and opt for an optional lunch in one of its many restaurants.

After lunch you will make your way towards Valdobbiadene,
passing San Pietro di Felleto, were you will visit the ancient
14th century Abbey of Follina and its cloisters, then taking the wine road to the area of Refontolo we stop at our next world renowned Vineyard, here you taste 2 more Prosecco wines and one sweet wine, and also have the chance to purchase a few bottles of wine before making your way back to Venice.

WINE TASTING ALONG THE PROSECCO HILLS is held on Mondays and Fridays only - Departs from Venice (Piazzale Roma) at 8:30 am sharp. Duration: 8 hours. Cost: 125 € per person. Please note this is a group tour.

Wine Tour & Lunch in Veneto, Friuli and Collio

Tour includes: Visit to the medieval town of Cividale del Friuli, Collio Vineyards, wine tasting and delicious local lunch with wine and grappa in a typical Friulano Trattoria. If you love Italian food and wine you will love this gastronomic tour!!

Crossing the countryside of the Veneto Orientale, you'll reach the vineyards of the Veneto, and then on to the Friuli region where you'll head for the hills of Corno di Rosazzo and Cividale to visit a top wine maker/oenologist and his vineyard. Wine-tasting includes great whites and full-bodied reds such as Cabernet, Merlot, Refrosco and Tocai Friulano.

Lunch takes place in a tiny Trattoria near the Slovenian border with homemade specialties, Schioppettino wine and of course
Grappa! After lunch you will make our way to the picturesque
medieval town of Cividale del Friuli, which was founded in 50 B.C. by Julius Caesar, where you will cross the Devils bridge with its spectacular views over the river and enjoy a short walk around the historical center before making our way back to Venice .

Wine tour and lunch is held on Wednesday and Thursdays - Departs from Venice (Piazzale Roma) at 08:30 am sharp.

Ciao Laura, LLC and the tour operator reserves the right to change the price or schedule of their tours at any time; however we always endeavor to provide the services listed, and only under very unusual circumstances would there be any changes. We cannot be held responsible for bad weather or seasonal closures, traffic delays and transport strikes.

It is recommended for all tours, comfortable shoes, suitable attire in particular for entrance to churches (i.e. shoulders and legs covered) and please arrive 10 minutes before scheduled departure time. If you are unsure of meeting points, please do not hesitate to contact us for guidance.

No luggage, or other large bags are allowed in Saint Mark’s Basilica. On very few occasions Saint Mark’s Basilica may be closed due to public holidays or high water.

To reserve public and private tours, including walks and boat tours, we require a credit card guarantee at the time of booking. (Visa or MasterCard).

Audio headsets: must be returned to the guide immediately after
the tour. We will ask you to sign for these at the start and
the end of the tour. Unreturned audio headsets will result in a
60 euro charge to your credit card.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation between 7 – 4 days before tour – 50% of tour price, less a one time wiring fee of 30 euro.
• Less than 3 days, Late arrivals or NO SHOW – 100% charge
• It is your responsibility to be at the meeting point punctually
