Ciao Laura, LLC was named after the company's owner Laura Faust. Over the course of her life, Laura has enjoyed a love of travel and a never-ending quest for her next great culinary adventure.
It is the combination of the two that Laura hopes to be able to share with you through her hand-selected vacation packages offered through www.ciaolaura.com
Laura has enjoyed extensive travel and has been employed by the finest of catering firms and restaurants around the country (United States). Not to mention the numerous hours she spends in the cucina for pure self-indulgent satisfaction. It is the combination of these two passions, combined with her love of the Italian people and culture that she hopes to share with you through these foodie culinary extravaganza trips!
A true story...the very first dollar Laura earned was in her father's award winning restaurant called the Chambered Nautilus in Wilmington, NC at the ripe age of nine (Which was a gratuitous amount of SEVEN dollars - think age times inflation and it was almost like SEVEN MILLION dollars!).
Okay, so anyway, Laura was a very social child who thought that she could maintain her popularity amongst her peers by taking her seven dollars and marching around the corner from the restaurant to the local candy store to purchase goodies for all of her friends, leaving her father's restaurant in search of what became her first true personal "culinary adventure"....
Fast forward to the 21st century - Laura has since learned that marching out of her place of employment at the mere thought of using candy as a tool to make friends and influence people does not necessarily work to her advantage!
No need to fret, ciaolaura promises to remain focused on your itinerary while on her next search for the next great dolce - dark chocolate, baba - OR the ultimate discovery on her latest trip (to the frigobar) - DUPLO candy bars....YUM (Donations accepted) Grazie!
